If no other action is taken from the user, apart from creating geometry, then all information will be placed in a level 3 subpicture created by the system. This is quite sufficient on small drawings, where no natural division in subpictures can be found.
When model information created by Drafting or other systems is added to a drawing, the subpicture structure is created automatically by the system. Below, the types of subpicture structure that can be created are listed.
-
A new level 1 subpicture is created every time a projection is created from the Insert-Model menu.
-
A new level 2 subpicture is added to a projection subpicture every time a model object (pipe, equipment) is restored.
-
Model components (for example, stiffeners on hull panels) are always represented as new level 3 subpictures.
