Ship Data - Draft Marks

Calc reports the drafts at 6 locations; at the LCF, amidships, AP, FP and the aft and fwd marks. you can locate the aft and fwd marks by entering the x and z coordinates of the draft mark line from the keel upwards. Note that the x-coordinates are measured from the origin (usually the AP). If only one point is given, then a vertical straight line is assumed at the given x-position.

When performing certain calculations (for example, in hydrostatics, loading conditions, cross curves) you may request to refer to extreme values of draft. If this is the case, Calc will use the Keel Thickness value (units: mm or inches) entered here, to redefine the reference line from which to measure the drafts (that means, the underside of keel). This is true for drafts entered by you and those reported from Calc.
