Setting Obstruction Representation for Cableways

  • Last UpdatedNov 14, 2025

Keywords:

REPRESENTATION CABLE OBSTRUCTION ON/OFF TRANSLUCENCY

Description:

Cableway Obstructions are often given Representation settings which render them invisible. Setting the Representation of OBST On forces the system to override Representation settings and show all of the primitives, regardless of the other settings.

This has the effect of considering all primitives which have an obstruction level greater than zero. The graphics display is not updated instantly. Use the REPResentation UPDATE command to make any changes visible.

To avoid obscuring the view in colour-shaded mode, obstructions can be shown as translucent, the degree of translucency being controllable.

Examples:

REPR CABLE OBST ON

REPR CABLE OBST OFF

REPR CABLE OBST ON TRANSLUCENCY 25

Command Syntax:

> REPResentation--CABLE--OBSTruction -+- ON - TRANSLucency - value --.

                                         |                              |

                                         ‘- OFF ------------------------+->

Note: value must be in the range 0‑99: the actual translucency will be set to the nearest of 25, 50, 75 or 87 (99 = transparent; 0 = opaque).

Querying:

Q REPR CABLE OBST TRANSL

Queries translucency setting for obstructions
