Default Forward Speed Effect Data

Default data is given within the program for the effect of speed on the performance of thrusters. Percentage changes in thrust are given for both bow and stern tunnel thrusters at forward and astern speeds. They are given over a range of Froude numbers as shown in the Percentage Change in Bow and Stern Thrusters table. Values for steerable thrusters are also given over a range of angles at which the fluid flows into the thruster. This is shown in the Percentage Change in Steerable Thruster Units table. For fixed, longitudinal thrusters without a rudder the values used are those for steerable thrusters at an inflow angle of 0 degrees.
The data has been derived from various sources - References 57, 58 and 58.
