Cross Curves

In order to produce cross curves of static righting levers, you can edit the 'Form Calculations - Cross Curves' node. Cross curves can be calculated for the main hull for either moulded or extreme drafts, for a given trim and assumed VCG, and over a range of drafts and heel angles.

These results are then presented in both graphical form and in a KN table form. The righting levers are calculated from a given reference point which can be altered to be either the true centre of gravity (giving GZ) or the baseline (giving KN) or some other position (giving SZ). Either a free or a fixed trim condition can be specified.

This function can also be used in order to show immersion curves for deck edge points, and both protected and unprotected openings.

An Interpolation table, relating heel and draft, or displacement, data for the specified trim, is also automatically produced. Interpolation between the given heel angles is not possible.
