The Continuity tab is used to change or just view the patch continuity of a patch.

Use the Continuity tab

  1. Select the patch to be changed in the Patch 1 list.

  2. This causes the adjacent patches of the selected patch to be displayed in the Patch 2 list, along with their continuity type and direction.

  3. Select the required patch from the Patch 2 list and select the Radio button for the type of continuity, either Tangent or Boundary.

  4. Select the Continuity button to make the change.

    The Patch 2 list will be updated to show the new continuity.

    Note: It is only possible to change the type of continuity, not the direction. Therefore, if the user selects a patch in list Patch 2 where the direction is from and attempts to change the continuity, an error message will be displayed.
