Creating a Hatch Associated with a Bay Definition

  • Last UpdatedDec 18, 2025

A hatch covering can be generated that has a dependency on a particular bay definition via the following syntax command:

HATCH "hatch1" CREATE BAY "bay1" 16.5 0.25

In this case, a hatch named "hatch1" will be created that will cover bay "bay1". It will be at a height of 16.5 units and have a thickness of 0.25 units.

This can again be accomplished using the dialog, by selecting the Associated Bay option, selecting the required bay from the drop-list, and entering all of the required information.

Note:
Fields that are not required (for example, the Associated Bay field when the General creation method is chosen, or the X location of hatch field, when the Associated Bay creation method is chosen), are disabled and you may not enter data into these fields.
