When Calc is started for the first time, 3 windows are displayed:

  1. The main report window, containing the report for the selected node in the Calculation Tree.

  2. Calculation Tree window,

  3. Message window for displaying program messages.

Other windows can be activated, if required:

  4. Open GL window, which displays a 3D view of the geometry and loading state.

  5. Tankplan View, which can be used for interactive loading.

  6. Script window, for writing and executing JavaScript or VBScript macros.

All windows except the main report window, can be floated, docked or turned off, as required.

There are also 4 toolbars as illustrated in the Toolbars image below. These can be turned on or off, and repositioned by you. They can also be docked or floated.

The position and state of the windows and toolbars will be remembered between sessions. The state of the main application window, is also remembered.

On starting up Calc, initially almost all of the icons on the toolbars are greyed out. Once a Calc project is active however, the various icons on the toolbar can then be used as a quick method for accessing frequently used commands. Annotated descriptions of most of the various icons on the toolbar are given in a following sub-section.

Note:
All facilities provided on the tool bar can be accessed via menu commands, but not all of the available menu commands can be accessed via icons.

Toolbars.
