The user can drag an element (identified as the CE), a specified distance in a direction specified relative to another reference element or point.

The user must first select the element to be moved in the design explorer or in the 3D graphical view. From the main menu, click Position > Drag, the Drag Move window with the Towards tab displayed.

The origin or the P-points must be specified first:
The Parameters pane gives the user the following options:
From the Origin drop-down menu select Origin or a P-point that will be used as the reference point for the drag.
Enter the Distance of the drag.
The Target pane gives the user the following options:
The type of target item is specified by the Towards option. The target can be a geometry element or a position. The following options are available:

Element |
Click on the Pick Target Element icon and pick a target element on the 3D view, to populate the Name field. Click Apply. |

Position |
Click on the Pick Target Position icon and pick a target position on the 3D view for graphical highlight of the selected position. Click Apply. |

Next |
Piping only, the user can move the CE in the specified distance towards the reference point, (Next element in the design explorer). Click Apply. |

Tail |
Piping only, the user can move the CE in the specified distance towards the reference point, (Tail of branch which contains the CE). Click Apply. |

Previous |
Piping only, the user can move the CE in the specified distance towards the reference point, (Previous element in the design explorer). Click Apply. |
|
Head |
Piping only, the user can move the CE in the specified distance towards the reference point, (Head of branch which contains the CE). Click Apply. |

Current |
Piping only, the user can move the CE, the specified distance towards the reference point (Current element in the design explorer). Click Apply. |
Note: The user can undo the actions of the drag movement when the user has clicked Apply, from the main toolbar click Edit > Undo.
