The Global Daemon uses either Remote Procedure Calls (RPC) or Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). RPC is part of the standard Windows software and no additional software has to be installed. WCF requires .NET 4.0 or higher.

The user should also check the AVEVA Support website for important information about the IT Configuration required for Global, without which it will not work. Refer to Software Support for further information.
