Importing 3D Curves

Having imported the boundary curves, the transom will now be imported as a Knuckle curve and the maximum waterline as a Pline. Knuckles and Plines must all be assigned a name by the user, which is used to identify the curve. The name can be a maximum of eight alphanumeric characters and must begin with an alphabetic. If however the user is going to associate an angle curve with a Knuckle or Tangent curve, the name should be restricted to six characters because of the angle curve naming convention used by the system. Curves of different types, for example,, Knuckle and Tangent, can have the same name as they are stored in different directories within the design.

The maximum waterline (file: Topwl.dat) is imported in the same manner using the Type PLINE and giving a Name such as topwl. Note for this curve the second point (sorting from the aft most point on the centerline) should be set to a Knuckle and the third to a Tangent point.
