Primitive Definitions Dialog

Open the Primitive Definition dialog

  1. Select an appropriate element.

  2. Select EDIT... from the Project Window’s Full View tree’s pop-up menu.

Allows the User to modify the definition of solid primitives (block, pyramid, cylinder, cone, sphere and torus).

    Note:
All primitives are initially generated with respect to the global origin.

The definition is made up of 3 parts:

    Shape Parameters

These parameters control the shape and change depending on the primitive type.

    Position

X, Y and Z values are entered to modify the location of the primitive in relation to the global origin.

    Rotation

Used to change the orientation of a primitive by entering the rotation angles (in degrees) about the X, Y and Z axes. Remember these relate to the primitive’s initial (generated) orientation at the origin and that rotations are performed in the order X, Y and Z.

    Note:
The definition of a primitive is lost when a User initiated boolean operation is performed on it and so can no longer be edited.
