Ratios - Model Test Resistance Data

The actual model test values from a towing tank test are entered via this page.

Firstly, the model length must be specified in the required units. The model length is used within each prediction method to ensure a consistent set of ratios is produced.

The vessel speeds and resistances, measured during the tank tests are entered via the grid control. Note that a maximum of 50 values may be entered. In addition, a minimum of two values should be entered to use the ratios within further powering calculations, since interpolation of these ratios is performed to obtain the corresponding ratio at the required speeds of the Powering calculations.
