Dynamic Zooming

Dynamic zooming is a process of progressively narrowing or widening the field of vision mimicking the effect of adjusting a zoom lens on a camera.
With dynamic zooming, the region of the scene that is at the centre of the view remains fixed, whereas with window zooming both the magnification and region of the scene are specified.
Use the View Tool method

Place the cursor over the zoom tool in the view that you wish to zoom,

Hold down the Left Mouse button.

Move the mouse forward to zoom in and move it back to zoom out.
During dynamic zooming the cursor disappears from the screen, and reappears once the Left Mouse button is released.
Use the Default method

Hold down <Ctrl>.
The cursor changes to the
icon.

Keep <Ctrl> and the Left Mouse button held down whilst moving the mouse forward to zoom in, and backward to zoom out.
