MDS Structural Design Templates

The standard supports, which are designed using structural sections, are template driven. A default set of templates, in the database site called /MDS/TEMPLATES, is supplied with the application. To make changes to templates the Administrator requires READ/WRITE access to this database.

Each standard support template type has its own zone, below which a maximum of eight (8) Structural Templates may exist. All of the supplied default templates are based on the steelwork sections available from the supplied British Standards for Steelwork Sections. Users may configure the template database to suit any other National Standard for steelwork sections as required.

for further information on how this can be achieved and complete instructions on how to configure the MDS application Structural Design Templates, please refer to the Framework Template Administration section of the MDS Supports Customization Guide.
