Plot Dialog

Open the Plot dialog

  1. You can either:

    • Select the menu item FILE \ EXPORT \ PLOT...

    • Select the icon in the View toolbar.

    Used to arrange drawings and output them as general plot files. A drawing consists of a series of viewports (listed in the Viewports panel) which represent different views on the design data. New viewports are added by entering a unique identifier in the Name field and clicking Add. To remove an existing viewport, select it in the list and click Delete. For each viewport, it’s position in the drawing and its contents are defined using the Position and Display pages respectively.

    The Media page is used to set up the global parameters of the plot.

    The instructions used to generate the plot can be stored as a macro. The Save... and Load... buttons being used to save the current definition or retrieve an existing definition (macro) respectively.

  2. Click the Preview button to open a Plot Preview graphics view to show the plot arrangement. The preview window can be left open to view changes as they are made, simply by clicking the Preview again. The Plot Preview graphics view has standard mouse/keyboard controls for panning and zooming as well as a pop-up menu with the following options: ZOOM IN, ZOOM OUT, RESET and REDRAW.

  3. Click Apply to generate the general plot file, a Save As dialog appearing to specify the name and location of the file to be created.
