The integration workflow for transferring actual material usage from AVEVA Marine to AVEVA ERM is as follows:
-
Configure a filter for actuals in AVEVA Marine.
-
Update the status of actuals in AVEVA Marine.
-
Publish the actual material usage in AVEVA Marine.
-
Import the actual steel material usage in AVEVA ERM.
-
Verify data in AVEVA ERM.
-
Process the feedback in AVEVA Marine.
Configure a filter for actual material usage
The Settings dialog box in AVEVA Marine contains the settings to configure the integration of actual material usage.
A new setting must be created in AVEVA Marine before transferring data. The Select for Publish check box column allows the users to view the selected information in the PartList Preview. Select the check box for the required rows and save the settings by clicking Save.
Actual Material Usage is published based on MANPKG and how many quantities of FPRJIN or FPLJIN is consumed by MANKPKG.

Update the status of actual material usage
In AVEVA Marine, a status called “PublishingStatus” is defined for all hull elements. The status of the MANPKG is modified through the Status controller window. Only those items that have reached the status defined in the filtering status can be selected for publishing.
Publish the actual material usage
Part lists satisfying the selection criteria can be exported to AVEVA ERM. For each selected row from the Settings dialog box, a tabbed page is created in the Publish to AVEVA ERM dialog box that displays the elements that satisfy the criteria (considering the Type of the Element and Publishing status) in the first grid.
Select the required MANPKG element and click Publish to expose data to AVEVA ERM. Status of the MANPKG is moved to ‘Published’ and an ‘Update’ notification is sent to AVEVA ERM.
The following screen shot is an example of the preview of the element with all the attributes that can be published to AVEVA ERM.

Import the actual steel material usage in AVEVA ERM
After plate and profile nesting has been performed in AVEVA Marine, the actual material usage is sent back to AVEVA ERM into Hull DRL.
The s30003 Hull Material Delivery Request List screen contains the hull material requests that can be directed to the warehouse through the s60030 Warehouse Dispatch List screen. The status of the DRLs after transfer is O-DRL (DRL Not Completed).
Also, in screen s30017, the rest plates that were created based on the information transferred from AVEVA Marine can be identified.
AVEVA Marine sends an ‘Update’ message when the actual material usage is published to AVEVA ERM.
After the components are published by AVEVA Marine, the components are available for import in AVEVA ERM. An ‘Update’ notification with context “ActualSteelMaterialUsage” is received in AVEVA ERM and the user can act on it.
To import the actual material usage in AVEVA ERM:
-
In AVEVA ERM, open the s14002 Integration Messages screen and click Process Messages. The d0211 Process Messages dialog box with the list of messages that can be processed is displayed.
-
Select the message with object type ActualSteelMaterialUsage for the appropriate design project and click Process. The actual materials from AVEVA Marine are imported.
The import of actual materials from AVEVA Marine can also be done without an ‘Update’ notification, using the s22050 Data Import screen. For more information, see Manual Import of Data in AVEVA ERM.
Verify data in AVEVA ERM
After import of data is successful, the hull material delivery request list can be verified in the s30003 Hull Material Delivery Request List screen. In the current transfer, the system will create one Hull Material-DRL per combination of project, hull unit and activity.

AVEVA ERM creates LeftOver (Rest Plates) as Catalogue item if any are transferred from AVEVA Marine.

There are also created Design Left Over entries that could be used when the actual Hull Material Left Over is created on screen s30010 later in the process (this is done manually in AVEVA ERM and is subject to the rules of this screen).

Process the feedback
After the data transferred is imported in AVEVA ERM, feedback on data consumption is sent to AVEVA Marine. This means an ‘Acknowledgement’ or ‘Error’ notification will be sent from AVEVA ERM to AVEVA Marine using the notification workflow.

‘Acknowledgement’ and ‘Error’ messages are displayed in Notifications dialog box of AVEVA Marine. For an ‘Acknowledgement’ message, AVEVA Marine deletes any unused plates and promotes the status of MANPKG to “Imported”. For “Error” message, AVEVA Marine demotes the status of MANPKG to “Rework”.

Left over can be assigned to another hull unit and transferred back to AVEVA Marine.

On receiving, AVEVA Marine will move the leftovers to the newly allocated MANPKG.
