The following limitations affect the transfer of information from Design to AutoCAD.

  • The interface translates 3D geometric elements only.

  • BOUN and DRAW elements and 3D lines are not translated.

  • Most element names are not translated. The names of the Site, Zone and STRU/EQUI etc may be transferred as Block names, if the Marine names are valid for AutoCAD blocks.

  • Element attributes are not translated.

  • The database hierarchy is not translated and any catalogue components are copied for every instance.

  • Primitives are translated in millimeter units only.

  • All geometry is transferred to the DXF file as facetted objects (cylinders are transferred references to a single prismatic extrusion - stored as an AutoCAD block).
