If the Use data points option is selected then the design is interrogated to find curves that cross the patch boundaries. Data is then extracted from these curves and used to fit the patches. The Sections, Waterlines and Buttocks options are selected to indicate which of these sets of curves, data will be extracted from. The Sampling density value controls how many data points are extracted from a curve per span. Only those points that lie within the patch boundaries are used. The parameterization method states which data points fitting method is to be used.
